International Solar Panel Manufacturer Chooses Tipton, IN

There’s exciting news today for the town of Tipton located about 35 miles north of Indianapolis. Abound Solar, based in Loveland, CO between Denver and Fort Collins, has announced it will occupy a vacant manufacturing facility in Tipton. Hiring is scheduled to beginning in 2011 and Abound expects to employ nearly 850 people by 2013. You can read the entire article from the Indianapolis Star newspaper by clicking here.

This is another story of success for Indianapolis and the surrounding counties of central Indiana that continue to recruit alternative energy and manufacturing companies to the area. With much of the local unemployment coming from the automotive industry, the facilities and available talent pool make central Indiana a prime option.
